As a design leader in the custom lighting industry, The Urban Electric Company desired a well-constructed office space. Located along the Charleston Naval Shipyard, Samet renovated the 40,000 SF interior of Naval Storehouse 10 to provide Urban Electric with plenty of room for operational endeavors.

A unique challenge was creating ways to tie in our new construction into the old existing building. One innovative solution was installing 3 skylights, equally distanced on the second floor to create more light intrusion and help open the space without raising the ceiling.

This historical building now houses 12,000 SF of office space on the ground floor and 3,000 SF of mezzanine office space. In addition to offices, this facility houses a small cafe, conference room, showroom, and 25,000 SF of manufacturing space.
