Greensboro Day School continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering creativity and the arts with the establishment of the Davidson Center for the Arts. This remarkable facility is dedicated to all aspects of teaching, learning, and performance art.

One of the center’s highlights is the renowned Sloan Theatre. With a seating capacity of 600, this theatre serves as a vibrant hub for performances from the school’s drama and music departments. It also hosts public events, further embedding the school in the local community. The theatre features a raised stage complete with an orchestra pit, box seats, sloped and balcony seating arrangements. Advanced lighting, audio-visual equipment, acoustical clouds, and a catwalk suspended from the ceiling further enhance the performance experience.

In addition, the Davidson Center houses the Bell Family Studio. This flexible space can accommodate up to 250 people with non-fixed seating, making it adaptable for a variety of events and performances.
