A unique partnership between Alamance-Burlington School System and Elon University produced this next build. Before acquiring this educational facility, the old Elon Elementary School was surrounded by the larger Elon University Campus.

The two subjects privately negotiated a land deal where both parties would benefit: Elon University would acquire the existing property on the terms that they build Elon Elementary a brand-new school. The University and ABSS called on Samet to deliver a solution that would save both parties time and money.

During this project, over 80 inches of rain and 12 inches of snow drove our teams to find a way to meet the school’s strict deadline. By resequencing activities, adding manpower, and stabilizing some of the soil on the site, Samet saved the client over $2M and finish ONE YEAR ahead of schedule.

And due to the success of this project, Samet has since acquired additional projects for both ABSS and Elon University to provide more spaces for 21st-century learners!
