A large crowd comprised of school officials, trades, and community members gathered at the Claxton Elementary School project site Friday to witness the Topping Out of the new school building.
After the attendees had an opportunity to sign the beam, several speakers addressed the crowd with brief remarks, including Arthur Samet who thanked all the project team members by name and credited them for the remarkable progress on the site.
Claxton currently leads all Greensboro schools currently under construction in terms of schedule.
