Samet will continue its successful partnership with the Greensboro Science Center after being selected to build the next phase of their campus expansion.

GSC’s latest expansion will include an “interconnected complex” comprised of a Biodome, aquatic animal rehabilitation center, and an outdoor gathering place dubbed “The Oasis.”

The Oasis will include art, interactive spaces, and landscaping and potentially serve as the entryway to the new complex’s centerpiece – a 35,000+ square foot Biodome filled with rainforest plant life and animals, in addition to art replicas from countries and cultures from around the world. The Biodome will lead to the Aquatic Rehabilitation and Care Complex where guests can observe with GSC staff as they care for injured sea life such as sharks, sea turtles, and rays.

The project is estimated to cost between $17 million and $20 million.

This win is a testament to Samet’s fantastic relationship with the GSC and our excellent track record of previous expansion projects.
