Earlier this summer, Samet partnered with Reborn Clothing Company to reduce textile waste by recycling windscreens from our job sites into tote bags.

Once a project is complete, the windscreen is cleaned and rolled into bundles before being transferred to Trotter’s Sewing Company in Asheboro.

Ilina Ewen, our Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, shared her thoughts on this partnership: “It’s a cool story that we’re able to reuse a product from our job sites. It’s a way for us to show the client and employee appreciation where they have a piece of their actual project. And we’ve saved it from going to a landfill for no good reason.”

We look forward to strategizing more sustainable practices to reduce our overall footprint as developers.
