With the rise of STEM discipline occupations, Elon University recognized the need to convert its partial engineering program into a fully accredited four-year program.

Samet worked diligently with the University and its design partner, Ayers Saint Gross, to review and comment on the early design drawings, price out various options, review the schedule and build subcontractor interest in the project. This collaboration ensured that the cost of the project was set early and maintained during the design process.

The result of this partnership is a showpiece building providing 65,000 SF of teaching and research space dedicated to engineering and physics. The design and attention to detail has set the bar high for the university’s future buildings.

Soaring ceilings, exposed beams, polished concrete, and beautifully colored laminated glass are just a few of the remarkable features of this iconic building where students can be found using the spaces all hours of the day.
