At Samet, safety is a vital part of our culture. Everyone in our company, including subcontractors, vendors,
and design professionals, is committed to upholding the highest safety standards in each task we undertake.
Our core belief is that everyone who works on our projects must take appropriate corrective actions when they
observe anything that may be unsafe. As a result, we have consistently achieved an outstanding safety record,
and are regularly recognized through industry awards.
Our strong safety performance is reflected in our low EMR (Experience Modification Rate), which at 0.82
is significantly better than the national average of 1.0. EMR is an industry statistic that is viewed as an
accurate indicator of a company's safety record. It is based on the employer's claim history, and is used to
determine the company's workman's compensation insurance premium. A lower EMR means fewer accidents, and
results in lower insurance costs.
