Samet Friends

Samet Friends is an associate-lead community action organization that selects area charities to support through fund-raising and grassroots involvement. Samet Corporation associates receive up to 8 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer with the charitable organization of their choice in addition to supporting Samet Friends activities.

Samet Friends activities include:

  • delivering meals to homebound senior adults through Senior Resources of Guilford's Mobile Meals program
  • collecting food for Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC in our Hammer Out Hunger campaign
  • collecting items for gift boxes for the Hope for Warriors organization which supports spouses and children of military personnel abroad
  • fielding a walking team for The Human Race, a fundraiser for over 100 non-profit organizations 

Samet associates volunteer and serve on the boards of numerous non-profit agencies and organizations including:

  • Greensboro Childrens Museum
  • Volunteer Center of Greensboro
  • Alamance Regional Medical Center Charitable Foundation
  • Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro
  • Blumenthal Jewish Home for the Aged
